Southern NH Youth Ballet is participating in a Barnes & Noble Story Hour and Book Fair with NH author & illustrator Tracy Kane.

Vouchers valid 9 AM – 11 PM (Pick them up at Barnes & Noble or at SNHDT studios.)

• Author Tracy Kane presents Fairy Houses™ story hour and book signing to include Fairy Houses, Fairy Flight, Fairy Boat, and Fairy Houses ... Everywhere!

• There will also be a brief ballet performance and an instructional lesson for eager young dancers of all ages that will include fairies from Southern NH Youth Ballet’s upcoming performance of Fairy Houses - The Ballet on March 29th.

A workshop by Tracy Kane, revealing how her books motivate children to use their creativity and imagination when building fairy houses and how it is so important in today's high-tech, mass media world.

Offering a new way to explore nature, this enchanting activity reminds children of nature’s daily magic while stimulating their design and construction skills combined with a sense of accomplishment.

Participants will have a chance to contribute their skills building a fairy village outside (weather permitting, so please dress accordingly).

Adults only. Attendees must register in advance with the college.

Meet renowned author/illustrator, Tracy Kane, as she reads from the award-winning Fairy Houses Series™ of books and then help families to build a “Fairy Houses Village.” Please bring some of your own natural materials for those perfect touches. Costumes are encouraged!

A DAY OF ENCHANTMENT GARDEN PARTY
with Author Tracy Kane

Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will host their 10th annual Garden Party, “A Day of Enchantment” at Fieldstone Garden. Special guest Tracy Kane, artist and author of “The Fairy Houses Series”, will offer 2 two-hour workshops at 9:30am and at 1:00pm. Kane will read her book Fairy Houses and then accompany children and adults into the pine forest to help build a “Fairy Houses Village”. Children are encouraged to dress as fairies, butterflies or dragonflies. Kane will be available for a book signing at mid-day.

A Day of Enchantment” will benefit Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area through sales of lunches, complementary care sessions, and raffle items. Live music, garden tours and workshops will round out the day. There is no admission fee and refreshments will be available for the children. Those who wish to reserve lunches and complementary care sessions should do so by June 12th. Join members of the Lexington Field and Garden Club and well-known author Tracy Kane at the National Heritage Museum in Lexington, MA.

Discover fairy houses in the enchanted woods. Listen to Tracy Kane read from her charming books. (Books will also be available for purchase.) Join in fairy crafts for children of all ages. Bring home directions for building a fairy house for the mythical sprites in your neighborhood.

Jaffrey’s 2008 Garden Tour

TEAM Jaffrey’s Design and Downtown Enhancement Committees sponsor their seventh annual garden tour. This year, the Garden Tour will have an added bonus with the inclusion of Fairy Houses. These wonderful, diminutive homes will be located in gardens throughout the tour.

Tracy Kane, noted author of “The Fairy Houses Series”, will be a featured guest. Tracy Kane majored in illustration at Philadelphia College of Art. She also studied in London, England where she met her husband.

Tickets will go on sale May 19, 2008 at various locations in Jaffrey and are $15.00 each.

"Fairy Houses - the Musical"
Ogunquit, Maine

Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine celebrates 75 years! The Children's Theatre will be performing “Fairy Houses - the Musical”. It will be their own adaptation from Tracy Kane’s "Fairy Houses Series™"

There will also be a creation of a "Fairy Houses Village" over the weekend on the theatre’s grounds by the local community and interested families. Come meet Tracy Kane, build your own fairy houses and join in the fun! Feel free to bring some of your own natural materials.

The Maine Fairy Houses Festival

Nature, creativity, a love for whimsy and a passion for fairies culminate in a weekend of building fairy houses, storytelling, music and dancing to learn how to cultivate the fairies living amongst us, including building fairy houses. Stroll down the Hillside Trail and Shoreland Trail where an exhibit of fairy houses and fairy gardens guide you to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens’ delightfully “famous” Fairy Village known throughout the midcoast.

Tracy Kane will be available for book readings, signings, plus fairy house building workshops!

Location and Directions to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
The Gardens are in mid-coast Maine, about an hour’s drive northeast of Portland and just 10 miles south of coastal Route 1.

From southern Maine: Follow signs to the Boothbay region. Soon after crossing the Wiscasset bridge on Route 1 North, turn right onto Route 27 South towards Boothbay. After 9.3 miles, bear right at the Boothbay monument, across from the town common and gazebo. Go straight at the stop sign immediately ahead. After 0.25 miles, turn right onto Barters Island Road. The entrance to the Gardens is about 1 mile ahead, on the left.

Tour of Fairy Houses in Portsmouth, NH!
Presented by Friends of the South End

Due to the amazingly successful tours of the last three years where thousands attended, the Fourth Annual Tour is now scheduled! Tracy Kane will be present to help fairy houses fans to build their unique and imaginative habitats for the fairies to visit!

Last years tour raised almost $30,000 for local non-profit organizations! The tour will include Strawbery Banke, Prescott Park, plus of course building a Fairy Houses Village on Peirce Island!
