Page School
Last week Mrs. Griskiewicz's second grade class at the Page School celebrated
the conclusion of their fairy unit with a very special nature walk and fairy
picnic luncheon.
The children spent the
last few weeks reading books about fairies, building fairy houses and even
creating their own fairies. They wrote descriptive paragraphs about their
fairies and shared the paragraphs with the visiting parents. Everyone took
a nature walk behind the Page School which included bark rubbing and wildflower
collecting and pressing.
The event concluded with
a fabulous fairy luncheon that included fairy fizz and a realistic fairy village
cake constructed by Mrs. Donahue. They even made fairy perfume made from a
mixture of rainwater, orange extract, and vanilla. It was a sweet event!!!
