Building
Fairy Houses
A
true Family activity! |

One day while my daughter and her friend and
I were out walking near the Charles River, I told the girls about
these wonderful books - The Fairy Houses Series. They decided immediately
they too had to build a special place for the fairies to visit. We
had such fun those months. Always checking -- keeping the houses
neat and safe....I loved hearing the laughter and seeing the magic
in their eyes...
Perhaps you could post this poem -- maybe it will remind others of
their own little girls and their dreams...
Thank you for the wonderful memories...
Sincerely,
Tara G. Mullin-Lowney

Little Girls' Dreams
Their eyes light up...
Smiles dance across their faces..
Laughter echoes across the river...
For days, the two friends worked hard...
Clearing the area, gathering twigs and dried grass..
Creating a place, a home,
where magic would come to life....
Hoping for a sign, they waited
Checking each day....
Butterflies,
Dragonflies..
Sprites...
Fairies...
Flitting, darting..
dancing among the leaves...
Look!! --
there's glitter on that leaf!!
A ladybug is sitting under that twig!!
Joy and wonder...
Eyes shine in amazement...
Dreams and innocence...
