The event was inspired by Tracy Kane’s acclaimed Fairy Houses Series of books and video that brought this magical idea to communities across the country. Last year’s tour was extremely successful, attracting over 3,000 tour participants plus many other visitors! In the tradition of the Crane Beach sandcastle competition on Cape Anne, we invite you to design and construct a fairy house design to be displayed in the Sheafe Warehouse at Prescott Park. Architects, Interns, Designers, and those studying architecture will find this a compelling challenge.. This is an inter-generational event in which professionals, grandparents, parents and children will construct fairy houses. Additionally, we are collaborating with non profits: Strawberry Banke Museum, John Langdon House, Prescott Park, Prescott Park Arts Festival, and Little Harbour School. Ticket proceeds from the event will help benefit these non profits. Registration Application Due Date: June 6, 2006 Design Parameters Set Up and Removal of Houses from Sheafe Warehouse Submissions may be collected after the event at the following times: Awards and Prizes Publicity |
