I love fairies! Fairies are cool because they have wings and they are pretty. I like to build fairy houses with sticks and leaves. I just finished a book about fairies called Forest Secrets by Tracy Kane and Kelly Sanders. I love it and can’t wait for the next book. It is really neat because I live in Maine.

I am taking my 3 children to a magical spot in the state park we live near today so we can get some ideas for our very own secret fairy garden. We are going to collect pine cones in our yard, and I found a piece of decayed bark from a tree that makes a perfect half circle. We are going to use it as our main fairy cottage. We will use pieces of the pine cone as the roof, carefully glued along the top arch as little shingles. We have been collecting dried flowers, acorns, berries, twigs, roots, stones and pebbles, sand, and of course pixie dust (fine glitter). We are so excited to use our collectings and will begin our first project in our neighbors “hobbit garden”. She is a master gardener and has many wonderful ideas of her own. Our imaginations have no boundaries, and the possibilities are endless! Xoxo :)

It looks like a few grown up “believers” are here too. We shall have such an enjoyable time learning how to make faerie houses.
