Calling all fairies, wizards, gnomes, and other friends! Don your favorite magical costume and come to Tyler Arboretum to enjoy a day of an enchanted fun for the whole family. Join the Fairies and Friends parade, dance in the magical bubbles, snap a photo with the fairy queen and princesses, create your own Fairy House or Gnome Home, and enjoy crafts, games, face painting.

Famed fairy house author and illustrator, Tracy Kane, will present special illustrated programs from her Fairy Houses Series® of books at noon and 1:30 pm, plus sign copies of her books for fans. She will also be available throughout the event to share tips with young architects creating their own authentic fairy houses in our Fairy House construction area.

Be sure to visit our Magical Habitats exhibition. This special realm of make-believe has been created to celebrate the fairies, gnomes, trolls, and hobbits that inhabit our woodlands, meadows, and gardens helping Mother Nature take care of the Earth. Discover the Wizard’s Herbology Workshop, Troll Bridge, Hobbit House, Goblin Shack, and Fairy Sanctuary. See dozens custom built fairy and gnome dwellings set among towering trees along the Magical Path. And best of all…make your own house to display at the Fairy House Construction Area!

Enjoy this multi-generational family event celebrating nature awareness and the wonders of imagination. Fairy wings, tutus, halos, gnome hats, and wizard wands will be available for purchase. Tyler Arboretum also features seven Totally Terrific Treehouses, a Meadow Maze, majestic historical trees, a Fragrant Garden, a pond full of fish and turtles, and numerous woodland trails to explore.
