PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Come to the Shoals Marine Laboratory and bring the children** along! Appledore Island is a treasure chest waiting for your family to unlock its secrets. Through field trips, creative crafts and interactive workshops your family will learn about life under the sea and along the shore. Boat trips in search of seals and seabirds, treasure hunts, stargazing, compass capers, and tidepooling will round out three days of discovery. Learn about marine science in a relaxed and beautiful setting with your family.
Exciting news for 2012: New England based children’s book author/illustrator, Tracy Kane, known as the “Fairy House Lady” will be conducting workshops for families to create an Appledore Island Fairy Houses Village at a magical, remote, and very special historical location at the Isles of Shoals!
**For children from 5-18 years of age. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

I’ve always loved The Little Mermaid bcuaese I’ve always wanted to live in the ocean .it always seemed so magical, mystical. How cool it would be to have a mermaid’s tail and be able to breathe underwater! Of course, the ending of the fairytale is so sad but I like that too!Thanks for the chance to win (BTW-My 9th & Bloom name is Cole)
